The conservative element of the Republican Party completely fell apart during the final years of George W. Bush's presidency. It's obvious to me that the Republicans are largely responsible for the utter disaster that has befallen our country. The barbarians were at the gate, and the centurions simply walked off the job. That's why I no longer send the Republicans any of my money. Unfortunately, your “key point” no longer holds.
