Old shames of mine.

A few ideas I came across as I was cleaning up my workshelf:

∞link (read: “Infinite Link”). A web service. I still like the style, a lot, but I can’t reuse it since I switched to Inkscape from Fireworks and this is in Fireworks PNG format. I’d have to redraw it.

(I really like the logo and arrow callout near the login box. Sigh.)

This had to be an online notebook. http://simplenote.ws overtook me.

DVD cover for a disc from my “top black band” period. The logos suck, and it turns out I cannot distribute discs with my stuff on it unless I cater to the SIAE (state-RIAA-equivalent), which I don’t want to. Double sigh.

OH GOD WHAT IS THIS.

This eventually became http://infinite-labs.net/me/, or was a redo of the same, can’t remember. Must be the latter; it looks much cooler than what’s up now. (Tho if I had a business card, I’d want the all-black one that’s on the site now :D )

The ∞labs logo without the white border. Still prefer it better.

Each of my apps has a color scheme. This is something I did for Primetime, the name of the media center app I’d like to make. Primetime’s red on black.

I’m glad I didn’t use this one.

Coinpurse’s header. This has the distinction of being one of the very first things I’ve ever done with Inkscape; since then, I didn’t get any better *and* I loathe Inkscape a lot more. So, little coin, did we get to the stars yet?

Since we’re on the topic: this has the dubious honor of being the very first thing I did with Inkscape — a from-scratch redraw of the Afloat cloud. Despite my ugly choice of backdrop there, the one on http://infinite-labs.net/ is miles better. If only I could find its SVG file now.

Oh, here it is. Looks like [goo] on a white backdrop, but it’s MUCH better.

It says “∞labs · Software Tailor’s”, which is the name of my custom-built software service (on hold for now).

Mockups for Mockingbird, an iPhone vector drawing app/UI mockup tool. respectively: drawing, layer selection, view for a selected layer.

Black and white doodle for homepage. Stupid and grammatically incorrect, but intriguing in its own deranged way. :p

  1. Actually, I was looking forward to coinpurse.
I’m in a lifelong quest for the best expense tracker / budgeting software.
    :-)
Was it in the pre-appstore era?

  2. Shortly after it.
