PlugSuit

PlugSuit is a plug-in manager for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard). It loads plug-ins in your applications and manages them for you.

Plug-ins add features to existing applications; some special plug-ins add features to applications that weren't designed to allow plug-ins. Many such plug-ins exist, especially for Apple's Safari web browser, such as Inquisitor and SafariStand.

PlugSuit helps you manage these plug-ins and loads them for you in their intended applications.

Future-proof, Easier and Safer.

Why PlugSuit when other plug-ins and plug-in managers already work without it?

  • PlugSuit offers a preference pane from which you can manage your plug-ins, temporarily disable even just one of them, or exclude applications so that plug-in loading does not interfere with their stability.
  • PlugSuit uses a different loading method than other plug-in managers, which are predominantly based on InputManager loading, a way of loading plug-ins that Apple will remove. When this happens, PlugSuit will still be able to load your plug-ins.

Plug-ins can do more.

PlugSuit strives to do more than just be a replica of existing plug-in managers with a nice preference pane over it. For example, from this version, compatible plug-ins can ask PlugSuit to check for their own updates, so that your plug-ins are always the latest and best versions out there. And you can control all of this with a single checkbox in PlugSuit's preferences, once and for all.
